Van Halen pearl harbored him on the floor though and body slammed him on the floor. He quickly threw him into the ring and followed and applied the full nelson. Match 5: Non-Title Match Cable TV Champion Killer Brooks vs. Tito Santana Brooks and Tito went at it full tilt for the first few minutes of the match, then Brooks started to slow down. Tito stayed on the offensive and wore Brooks down for a while. Brooks finally took over, and it was his turn to inflict punishment on Tito. He posted him on the floor and opened a cut on Tito's head. He continued to work on the cut in the ring. Tito was worn down by all the blood loss, but managed to stage a comeback. Brooks shut it down and went back to work. Brooks got careless though and telegraphed a back body drop, and Tito leaped over him with a sunset flip to get the pinfall at 19:34. Afterwards, Brooks attempted to maul Tito, but he escaped first, and celebrated on the floor. He'll get a shot at Brooks' Cable TV Title next Saturday on tv. Intermission Match 6: 4 Way Tag Team Match The Fabulous Blondes vs. The Fantastics vs. The Oates Brothers vs. The New Zealand Militia It was a unique scene as each team was in a different corner. Jonathon Boyd of the Milita started the match off against Tommy Rogers of the Fantastics. The match was fast paced with a lot of tagging going on between the eight men, and that resulted in a lot of exciting action. At one point, both of the Fabulous Blondes were tagged in, and it looked like they would have to go at it. Timbs quickly tagged Ted Oates and then waylayed him before getting out of the ring and Embry went to work on him. The first elimination came when Fulton and Rogers connected on Ripper Morgan with a double dropkick for a pinfall at 13:02. Boyd and Morgan were very upset. Rogers made the pin, and Timbs was in quickly to resume the match. Boyd and Morgan paced around the ring in anger. They then went and jerked Bobby Fulton off the apron and began putting the boots to him on the floor. Tommy Rogers bailed out to help his partner, and the four of them battled on the floor. Due to this, Tommy Rogers was counted out, and The Fantastics were eliminated at 15:00. Down to The Blondes against The Oates brothers, and they didn't disappoint. The Blondes worked over Ted for a long while, but he managed to get a tag and Jerry came in on fire. All four men went at it until Jerry caught Timbs in a small package for the pin and the victory at 25:17. The Blondes were in shock. The Oates brothers both were then making open gestures that they want a shot at the Southwest Tag Team Titles! Winners: Ted & Jerry Oates Match 7: Main Event Loser Leaves Town - Texas Death Rules - No Holds Barred, No DQs - No Time Limit - Cage Match Blackjack Mulligan vs. Tully Blanchard w/ manager Ron Wright The cage was assembled, and when Blackjack came out, he went all around and tested its strength before climbing in. Mulligan came dressed in jeans and cowboy boots for this fight. Tully made his way out with Ron Wright, and Tully was dressed in jeans, cowboy boots, and tank top for the battle. The bell rang to get us underway and the two of them went at it right from the start. They both dished out, and received a lot of punishment. Tully turned the tide when he pulled a pouch of powder from his trunks and threw it in the face of Mulligan. He quickly followed that up by ramming BJM into the cage and busting him open. Tully gained the pinfall off of that to take the first fall at 8:05. Mulligan regained his footing at 6 however, and the match continued. Tully pressed his advantage and continued to work over Mulligan. He got him where he wanted him, and attempted his slingshot suplex, but the weight of Mulligan was too great, and he came down on top of Tully for a pin and the second fall at 12:03. Tully got back to his feet at 5, so he match continued. BJM went back on the offensive and started to batter Tully. He sent him head first into the cage a couple of times to get Tully bleeding as well. He stomped away at the cut before sending Tully into the ropes and nailing him with a lariat for another pinfall at 16:55. Tully got back to his feet at 7, so the match continued. BJM continued to put the pressure on Tully in the fourth fall. He applied his claw hold and Tully was pinned again at 19:15. Tully was in dager of not getting up, when Ron Wright sprayed him with water from the floor to revive him. Tully got back to his feet at 8, so the match continued. BJM came after Tully again, but Tully nailed him with a low blow. With BJM stunned, Tully took off his cowboy boot and throttled Mulligan in the head with it to gain a pinfall at 21:03. Mulligan reached his feet at 8, so the match continued. Tully waylayed on Mulligan with the boot with four more shots to the head and pinned him again at 22:05. Mulligan was up at 9 , so the match continued. Tully went for more shots with the boot, but Mulligan blocked, and gave Tully some shots with it ang pinned Tully at 24:34. Once again, Wright sprayed water on Tully to revive him, and he was up at 8, so the match continued. Mulligan set up for another lariat, but Tully ducked it and came back off the ropes with cross body block. Mulligan caught him, staggered backwards, and drove him head first into the cage. He covered Tully and pinned him at 28:00. Tully was revived once again by Wright and managed to get to his feet at 9, so the match continued. BJM then applied a sleeper on Tully to try and put him out for good. Tully rammed BJM backwards into the ropes and cage a couple of times to break the hold. He then delivered a pile driver to Mulligan and got a pin at 31:45. Mulligan barely reached his feet at 9, so the match continued. The two men were both worn out and blood soaked, but traded shots in the center of the ring. Tully broke that up with a kick to the "lower abdomen" of Mulligan to put him on his back. He then went and motioned to Ron Wright. Wright pulled a rag from his pocket and produced an aerosol can. He started to soak the rag, and fans at ringside tell me it smelled like Ether. He stuffed the rag through the cage and Tully pressed it over the face of Mulligan. Mulligan struggled, but quickly stopped and lay motionless. Tully draped an orm over him to get another pin at 34:56. Mulligan was in real danger at this point, but luckily, Southwest Champion Manny Fernandez ran to the ring. he jerked the water bottle out of Ron Wrights hands and sprayed Mulligan with it. Mulligan started to revive, and barely beat the count at 9.9999, so the match continued. Tully tried to continue his assault. Fernandez led the crowd and they produced such a roar, that it helped give BJM a second wind. He started firing back at Tully. Ron Wright was on the floor, jumping up and down and waving his arms towards the dressing room. BJM stayed on the offensive and gave Tully a high back body drop....but Tully's leg caught the referee and took him out temporarily. From the dressing room dashed the AWA World Tag Team Champions, Adrian Adonis and Jesse Ventura. They blindsided Manny Fernandez and threw him into the cage. Adonis went to the referee on the floor that had the key to the cage and smacked him around and took the key from him. He and Ventura then entered the cage. Mulligan tried to fight them off, but Tully drove a knee into his back from behind to put him down. He and Adonis stomped away while Ventura went back to the floor for a folding chair. They crashed it down over the back of Mulligan several times. Tully then placed the chair on the mat. He lifted Mulligan up for another piledrived, this time on the chair. Ventura stopped him momentarily, as Adonis climbed to the top rope. Adonis then assisted Tully in giving Mulligan a spike piledriver on the chair!!! Adonis and Ventura then took the chair and left the ring as the ref came back to his senses. Tully covered Mulligan and got a pin at 40:00. The fans were shouting and screaming at the ref, but he started his count anyway. Manny Fernandez came too, and tried to help, but he was beat on by the champs again. Tito Santana, Ricky Romero, Jose Lothario, and Al Perez rushed to ringside to try and help, but were held at bay by the champs. The referee counted to 10 and BJM was still down and out, so the match was awarded to Tully. The crowd was angry and started to throw stuff. He and the AWA Tag Champs had to fight their way to the locker room with Ron Wright. The babyfaces all gathered around a prone BJM and assisted the medics in getting him on a stretcher and to the locker room. The crowd was somber as the official decision was announced.....Tully Blanchard has won the match, and Blackjack Mulligan has to leave San Antonio for 60 days. Winner: Tully Blanchard, in 10 falls.
