Championship Wrestling from California presents Wrestling at the Olympic Taped 2/24/83 Olympic Auditorium Los Angeles, CA Syndicated across California & Nevada Announcer: Jeff Walton The closing moments from last week's main event were shown. Pat Patterson had United States Heavyweight Champion "Exotic" Adrian Street locked in his figure-four leglock when "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer came out from the crowd and attacked him with a vicious splash from the top rope. He assaulted Patterson with a chain, and even struck at Street when he attempted to join in. Black Bart debuted successfully with a win over Gary Sabaugh in 4 minutes following a lariat off the ropes. "I don't care 'bout no bounties," he said. "I don't care 'bout no titles. Darn it, I'd come out here and fight for free, as long as them' stinkin' promoters let me beat somebody up!" COMMERCIAL BREAK "Pistol" Pez Whatley (with Bugsy McGraw) pinned Gypsy Joe following a flying headbutt off the ropes in 9 minutes. McGraw patrolled the ringside area with a baseball bat, prepared for any disturbances outside the ring. COMMERCIAL BREAK A clip from last week's match between Brian Blair and King Konga was shown. Blair ended up going out on a stretcher, but has demanded a rematch. He'll get it next week. "Brian Blair has to be idiot of the year!" the Grand Wizard said. "Everyone falls at the hands of King Konga, the man who feels no pain. Blair, I'd get on a plane and head back to Florida, or anywhere else but here, because I promise, if you show up next week, you'll never wrestle here again!" International Tag Team Champions the Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) defeated the Mercenaries (Frenchy Martin & Pierre Lefebvre) in 6 minutes when Sika pinned Martin after stereo diving headbutts off the ropes. COMMERCIAL BREAK "Ultimate Warrior" Bad News Allen defeated Dos Caras in 3 minutes following a piledriver. Caras actually controlled the fast paced match, but missed a flying cross body from the second rope, setting up the finish. "You're looking at the Ultimate Warrior," Allen said. "I won a gold medal in Judo, and if they gave one out in street fighting, I'd have that too. There was some idiot out here earlier that said he'd fight for free. Well I don't. The only way they'd get me out here to California is with cold hard cash. I win, I get paid. I win titles, I get paid more. End of story." COMMERCIAL BREAK "Mighty" John Quinn defeated Bugsy McGraw (with "Pistol" Pez Whatley) by count out in 6 minutes when McGraw left the ring to brawl with the Destroyer and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams outside the ring. It took several ringside officials to control the situation. McGraw and Whatley ended up using chairs to clear the ringside area of the Destroyer and Williams.
