Atlantic States Tag Team Titles: Champions, Ole and Arn Anderson, along with Gene Anderson, are not happy. First, Arn isn’t happy with having to wait until March 15th to face Steamboat and Youngblood for the world tag team Titles. Then Ole addresses Bruiser Brody and Abdullah the Butcher situation. On the 2/26 of the WWW broadcast, Weaver and Tyler defeated Gene and Arn Anderson but the victors were attacked by Ole Anderson after the bout and the show went off the air with the Andersons giving a beatdown to the popular duo until Paul Jones and several wrestlers came from the back to break up the melee.

The Roddy Piper – Magnum Terry Allen Situation: 2/19 MACW, Allen came out and showed the world his scarred and burned face from Piper’s attack the previous week. Allen says he wants Piper, “And give him one of these (pointing to his face). He says anytime he sees Piper he is coming after him. Allen then grabs a baseball bat and smacks it in his hand. “I can fight fire with fire, Piper!”
On the same broadcast, Piper came out wearing his Scottish best and made a joke saying Allen has a
“Jeckle and Hyde complex” and “it’s written all over his face!” While Piper is laughing at himself, Mr. Hyde appears and clocked Piper in the chops. Piper scrambled to get away as Sandy Scott and wrestlers from the back came out and separated the two. Magnum was able to rip the kilt off of Piper. Then in front of everyone pulled out a lighter and burned the kilt as Piper watched and tried to get at him. Being held back by the wrestlers and Scott, Piper swore revenge.
On 2/26, MACW, while Allen was being interviewed by Bob Caudle, Piper walked out. The two men just stared at each other without saying a word. Out came Sandy Scott holding some papers. Scott adamantly told both men, he wanted no trouble from either of them. If anything happens between the two, he promised to fine both men heavily.
Scott says this feud has gotten dangerously out of control. He adds the only way to solve this is for the two of them to get in the ring and settle it. He says he has withdrawn both men from consideration for the NWA World Heavyweight Title shot in Greensboro on April 13th.
Instead he says he has a counter proposal for both men. He says he has two contracts, one for Allen and the other for Piper for a Cage Match Saturday night April 13th in Greensboro. He says it would be a no disqualification, no time limit, anything goes, and because it is such a dangerous match, he, Scott, will referee the match.
Both men look at Scott. Allen nods in agreement without saying a word. Piper looking at Allen says nothing as he motions for the contract and a pen. The only time either man’s eyes leave the others is when they sign the contract.
Scott then says there is one more stipulation: Neither man can lay a hand on each other until the 13th if so both men will be fined and suspended without pay indefinitely. Piper gets ready to say something, but stops and looks at Scott and nods.
“Terry, do I have your word?” Scott asks. Not taking his eyes off Piper he nods in agreement.

Rip Hawk Hawk comes out on WWW saying he knows something of tag team wrestling and his men, Eddy Mansfield and Tiger Chung Lee are the best tag team in the world. He says he knows imposters when he sees them and, “this Rock-n-Rock Express is nothing but a bunch of posers.” He says in his day, those two kids would’ve been sent home crying. Mansfield echoed Hawk’s words while Lee just laughed and nodded his head.
The following week on WWW, The Rock-n-Roll Express, Ricky Morton, along with Robert Gibson, issued the challenge to Rip Hawk’s men, Mansfield and Lee, to face them anywhere. He says they are going to learn just how tough they can be. Morton also had a few words for The Nation of Ladd, saying they are willing to shut their mouths anytime they
“have the guts to get in the ring with us!” -0-
