Whether or not he will be able to remain Mid-America Champion is unknown. *Lance welcomes Championship Wrestling from Florida to the AWA. He hopes to work with his old friend, Gordon Solie, real soon. *Jerry Jarrett is working hard to secure dates on AWA World Champion, Jerry Lawler. His schedule is so hectic he hasn’t been able to come “home” in quite some time. *Jarrett has also tried to discover the identity of the person issuing the bounties, but all he has discovered is even more bounty posters. NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR Bullet Points: *Is glad CWF is in the AWA. Maybe Eddie Graham can fly some competition for him up to Memphis. *Has been told that CWF’s Southern Champion, Greg Valentine, has been running his mouth about the Nature Boy. *He has fought with Valentine and against Valentine and he, and most importantly Greg, knows that Valentine isn’t in his league. *Flair may have to travel South to teach his old “friend” a few lessons. *Flair will make short work of Stan Lane Monday Night. THE DOUBLE CROSS GANG Bullet Points: *$15,000 richer for hurting Tommy Rich. *Funks want a shot at the Zambuie Express and the Southern Titles Monday Night. *Hansen comments that if Tommy Rich were any kind of a man, he would shake of that little injury and face him in the ring today for the Mid-America Title. *Rich comes out in a neckbrace and accepts the challenge, against the advice of CWA officials and his friends. THE FABULOUS ONES Bullet Points: *Frustrated that the Zambuie Express keeps getting counted out in their matches. *Taking a break from the Express this week and each will seek singles gold. *Steve Keirn will face Randy Savage for the International Title. *Stan Lane will face Ric Flair for the Southern Title Monday night. THE FIRST FAMILY Bullet Points: *Hart states that in a couple of weeks, the newest member of the First Family will be here. *Savage dismisses Keirn as a tag team wrestler and says he won’t even break a sweat against ½ of the Fabs. *Bundy shouts that he wants some of the bounty money that is floating around. Maybe he will start with Mantell on Monday. DUTCH MANTELL, AUSTIN IDOL, JIMMY VALIANT, & BILL DUNDEE Bullet Points: *Mantell contends that no one will collect a bounty on his head, especially Bundy. *Idol is concerned that all of their guys are being put out with bounties. He suggests that they start collecting on some bounties as well. *Valiant wishes Dream Machine and Eddie Gilbert well and hope they have a speedy recovery. *Dundee is worried that Rich is making a big mistake facing Hansen today for the Mid-America Title. Bill White with a piledriver. *Frank Monte def. Kentucky Wildcat #2 with a kneedrop. *Phil Hickerson def. Gene Ligon with a butterfly suplex *Mid-America Title Match – Stan Hansen def. Tommy Rich© for the Title when Bill Dundee throws in the towel. Rich fought valiantly, but Hansen concentrated his attack on the injured neck. Dundee throws in the towel before Hansen can deliver the lariat, thus saving Rich from permanent injury.
