MERCER: Welcome to World Class Championship Wrestling. I’m joined by Lord Alfred hays and it’s good you’re with us this week. We have a ladies’ match as Cowgirl Susan Green will wrestle Leilani Kai.
 
HAYS: The distaff division always tends to provide an entertaining bout.
 
MERCER: We will see the Moondogs in action.
 
HAYS: They are a tremendous team anmd have a mastermind in Mr. JR as their manager.
 
MERCER: Barry Windham will wrestle Lars Anderson.
 
HAYS: I feel Windham is a bit soft. While I certainly have no love for Lars Anderson, I feel his toughness will be too much for young Windham.
 
MERCER: The Russians and their new protégé, Chick Donovan will face stiff competition in Iceman Parsons, Al Madril, & Bobo Brazil.  
 
HAYS: Madril would have been hard pressed to compete with the Russians’ when he was under my tutelage. With Brazil and Parsons, this could be a terrible day for him!
 
MERCER Our Main Event will be spectacular as World Champion David Von Erich will team with his brother Kerry against a man they both have quite a grudge with in “Dr. D” David Shults and Killer Khan!  
 
HAYS: I’m sure that the brilliant minds of Jim Cornette and Mr.  JR have conceived a brilliant strategy for this bout!
 
MERCER: We’ll get started after these messages.

Cowboy Scott Casey is standing in front of the World Class logo.
 
CASEY: Spring Star Wars is right around the corner and I get to choose the stipulations for my American Title match with Jimmy Garvin. First things first, that interfering Precious! Now, being a gentleman, I can’t raise my hand to a woman. But it happens, I’ve got an old friend who is coming through Texas who can. Her name is Cowgirl Susan Green and she’ll be in my corner that night to keep an eye on little Miss Precious. Now, I’ve noticed that Jim, who was never exactly humble, has got pretty uppity since coming back to Texas. I think what he needs is to get a little dirt under his fingernails to straighten him out. Same goes for Precious. So, if I win the American Title, they will be my ranch hands for a day. Diggin’ post holes, feeding stock, cleaning out barns. Hard work builds character and I got plenty hard work out at my place! It will be the longest day of their lives, I can guarantee that!

MERCER: I’m joined by David Von Erich. David, last week, Bruiser Brody made quite a statement by attacking your father and brothersand demanded a shot at your World Title.
 
DAVID: You can call it making a statement, I call it stabbing friends in the back. Brody, my dad helped you get into this business. All my family has ever done is tried to help you.. One reason we always call you id because you have problems getting matches because other territories and their promoters don’t want to put up with your stupidity and unreasonable demands. All you had to do was petition the NWA for a match like a normal wrestler! (Duke Keomuka comes to the desk and puts a document in front of David) Thanks, Duke. I asked the NWA to make a match for Spring Star Wars.(David signs the contract) This will be in the World Class office any time you want to sign it, Brody! I’m letting you know right now, Bruise: NOBODY attacks the Von Erichs like that and gets away with it!
 
MERCER: Speaking of World Titles and Spring Star Wars, David, your brothers, Kerry and Kevin will get a shot at the NWA World Tag Titles, held by Rick Steamboat & Jay Youngblood. The Champs had these comments earlier…..
 
VTR:
Steamboat and Youngblood are standing in a ring in an empty arena, wearing their ring gear and with the belts around their waists.  
 
STEAMBOAT: Last time we were in Texas, we took on Jim Cornette and his Midnight Express. They were a bunch of sneaky weasels.
 
YOUNGBLOOD: This time, we go from weasels to warriors, Ricky. Defending these titles against two men we respect in Kerry and Kevin Von Erich.
STEAMBOAT: They are a lot like us. Young, quick, athletic, and they work together well like we do. Jayson, it might be our toughest challenge.
 
YOUNGBLOOD: The teams that are bound by blood are always the toughest challenge. The Andersons in North Carolina, the Briscoes in Georgia, and now, the Von Erichs in Texas.
 
STEAMBOAT: Usually, the fans are all behind us, but if you folks in Dallas have to root for your hometown boys, we understand that.
 
YOUNGBLOOD: Von Erichs, nothing personal, we’re just not going to lose the belts in Reunion Arena on Easter Sunday!
 
Cut to a music video set to “We Are The Champions”. That features footage of Steamboat and Youngblood in action against a variety of opponents.
 
 
MERCER: David, another Von Erich who has big things going on is your younger brother, Mike.
 
DAVID: Mike is working hard, preparing to wrestle his first match. I’m really proud of the kid. He reminds me of myself at that age.
 
MERCER: Well, those are high compliments. Let’s look at a video of Mike in training.
 
VTR: Music video set to “Going The Distance” from”Rocky” of Mike Von Erich working out in the gym and training in the ring with Fritz, Kevin, and Kerry.
After the music fades out, Fritz is talking to his son.  
 
FRITZ: You’re just about ready, Mike. Waldo is sending your cousin Rick down here to work with us and I think you’ll be ready to wrestle your first match in less than a month.
 
MIKE (appears to be unhappy): Dad, thank you for all of the help and advice. I’m going to do the family name proud and do my best for all of the World Class fans.[/i]
 
MERCER: Cousin Rick? Yet another Von Erich?
 
DAVID: Yeah, Waldo’s boy. He’s been working in a few territories out on the west coast. I guess that Dad and Uncle Waldo, well I don’t know a lot about that….
 
MERCER: You and Kerry against Dr. D and Killer Khan in our MAIN EVENT. I ‘m sure you have something to say about that.
 
DAVID: Two of the top contenders to my title. Dr.D  tried to end Kerry’s career and we still haven’t forgotten that, Shults! Gonna be a great match and we’ll do our best for all of our great fans!
MERCER: Thanks for your time, David! We’ll be back with the Moondogs!
 
COMMERCIAL
 
The Moondogs Spot & Rex (w/ MR.JR) take on Jerry Bryant & Terry Gibbs. Rex pins Bryant after an over the knee backbreaker despite a game effort from Bryant and Gibbs.
 
LOWRANCE: At Spring Star Wars, the Midnight Express will put their Texas Tag Titles on the line against the Moondogs. Mr. JR, you have a title match for your team.
 
JR: That’s right. We are going to prove that not only are Rex and Spot the best team in World Class, Mr. JR is the greatest manager! After we win the belts, we won’t duck anybody! Parsons and Madril, Von Erichs,  Russians, Cobra Corps, these Moondogs are the biggest, toughest, meanest and the best! On Easter Sunday, we prove it!
 
 
LOWRANCE: You and Cornette will both be at ringside and he has a tendency to get involved…
 
JR: Cornette, we have to work together today against the Von Erich boys, but if you stick your nose in at Spring Star Wars, I’ll take one of these bones and knock you out!

MERCER: The NWA has authorized World Class Championship Wrestling to add a new title, the World Class TV Title, a championship to be contested exclusively every two weeks here on World Class Championship Wrestling. A tournament to determine the first championship begins next week with two first round matchups: Kerry Von Erich will wrestle Lars Anderson and Sgt. Slaughter will wrestle his Russian archenemy, Nikolai Volkoff.  Right now, let’s go down to the ring as Barry Windham faces Lars Anderson.
 
Barry Windham wrestles Lars Anderson in an exciting match. Anderson has the advantage most of the way, but Windham hits a lariat to get a big win,
 
LOWARANCE: Barry, that was a tough match and you have another tough one coming up with a former NWA World Champion at Spring Star Wars. Let’s take a look at Harley Race.
 
VTR:

RACE (voice over): Barry Windham, one of the up and comers. They say you are a future World Champion. Well, I happen to think that I have a World Title in my future, too, Mr. Windham! I won’t be a stepping stone for anybody! And I want all of you Texans to watch my match with Windham very closely because what I do to him will be the same thing I plan to do when I take on the World Champion,your Texas hero, David Von Erich!
 
WINDHAM: If I can knock off Race, it’s only a matter of time before I get my match for David Von Erich’s World Title. Race, I know that you are one of the best ever, but I think I am ready for the challenge. Lars Anderson was really tough and he was a good preparation for Race. David Von Erich, I respect you like no other, man, but I want your belt. I think the fans deserve to see two Texans and two scientific wrestlers compete for the World Title.  
 
COMMERCIAL
 
Ivan Koloff & Nikolai Volkoff & Chick Donovan come to the ring. Volkoff waves the Soviet flag while Ivan carries the  folded American flag that they stole from Don Kernodle & Sgt. Slaughter recently. “We Are Family” brings their opponents, Iceman Parsons, Al Madril, & Bobo Brazil, to the ring. This is an exciting, hotly contested match. All six men wind up in the ring. Madril applies the Indian deadlock on Donovan as referee Bronko Lubich attempts to restore order. Bronko  is getting Iceman and Bobo to their corner, Ivan Koloff comes off the top rope with a kneedrop to Madril’s chest! Donaovan escapes the hold and covers Madril for the pin! Sgt. Slaughter runs into the ring and the Russians bid a hasty retreat!
 
Slaughter is on the mic!
 
SLAUGHTER: Russians, that flag you stole is property of the Cobra Corps and Sgt. Slaughter! At Spring Star Wars, Kernodle will be back and ready for war! We’ll have a third man and we will wrestle you Russians and your Benedict Arnold bleach blonde beach bum in a Capture The Flag Match. Both flags will be on ten feet high poles in opposite corners of the ring and we fight until either the Corps recaptures Old Glory or you scum get your own flag off the pole! Right now, I want to hear Dallas say it: USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!
 
COMMERCIAL
 
MAIN EVENT: Kerry & David Von Erich take on “Dr.D” David Shults & Killer Khan (w/ Jim Cornette & Mr. JR). Kerry & Shults start brawling at the bell and fight all over the building! Inside the ring, it’s basically David against Khan, one on one! Cornette and JR argue almost the entire time. Khan misses the top rope kneedrop and the World Champ applies the claw! David pins Killer Khan with the Iron Claw as the crowd goes nuts! Shults attempts another piledriver on the floor on Kerry, but Kerry backdrops out of it!Kerry and David embrace in the ring after a hard fought win!
